In a world where the only constant is change, the future is forever uncertain. How can we learn not to be controlled by fear and the mind’s habit of grasping to maintain control, and instead embrace this reality with an open mind and heart? When we see through the perceptual distortions that keep us from realising the truth of life, we come to stand at the door of creation watching life unfold, in awe of the mystery. This retreat will explore the distortions that keep us from realising this truth.

Bill Knight After graduating from medical school in 1977, Bill spent 10 years practicing emergency and family medicine in Canada, the Middle and Far East.  In the late 80’s he retrained as a psychotherapist.  A desire to more fully understand his own mind and body led him to the practice of Insight Meditation which changed his life.  Since 1995 his medical practice has been limited to teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.  He has practiced with a variety of teachers in both the Theravada and Mahayana traditions in both North America and Asia.  He lives with his wife and three cats in Muskoka.
