“Whether standing, walking, sitting or lying down, whenever awake, one should develop this mindfulness (of boundless friendliness). This they say is the noblest living here.”        (from the Metta Sutta, spoken by the Buddha)

Experience the transformative influence of Metta (the Pali word for lovingkindness or friendliness) as it is partnered with Insight Meditation on this silent weekend retreat. With the conditions of struggle and stress so prevalent in our personal lives, and with ill-will, hatred and anger showing more forcefully in the world, the cultivation and expression of Metta becomes more and more necessary to bring about and sustain peace, both inwardly and in the outer world.

Each day will include a full schedule of sitting and walking meditation, instruction, guided meditation, and Dharma talk. There will be small group meetings with Norman or Molly, as well as optional yoga sessions led by Sarah Kinsley. The retreat welcomes new and returning meditators..
