This retreat is more rustic than those True North Insight normally offers, and is highly recommended for those who love a get-away in nature. It will be held in the silence of the magnificent Ouareau Forest Regional Park in the Lanaudière region of Quebec. We will sleep in our sleeping bags in cabins perched in the trees, and practice walking meditation in the forest and in the welcoming common room, which opens to this enchanting site and which will serve as our dining room and meditation hall. For a few days we will live close to the elements, letting ourselves be touched by the beauty of nature and living in harmony with the living forest, as well as with our sometimes noisy mind. The simplicity of this way of living, almost like camping, the silent community life, the teachings of the Buddha, and the practice of mindfulness will encourage a gradual awakening of the heart and mind.

This retreat will be held in French, with the possibility of having an individual meeting with the teacher in English.
